The Family

To start, I have a family that I have been working on for the past 13 years.  My wife and I dated for 3-some-odd years and married 10 years ago.  Now we have 5 children, gray hairs, two jobs, a mortgage, two vehicles, and the time has gone by so quickly.  I’m not really sure if the time was always well spent, but it was spent regardless.

Now, of those 5, we have 2 girls and 3 boys ranging in ages from 9 years to 3 years old.  They say that having them closer together draws them closer together.  I think it draws them closer…to insanity more quickly, while trying to drag the parents with them.  I can’t wait to get them all in school.  Four down and one to go!

When asked how we do it, we have several replies:

-We couldn’t send them back.

-We liked them, so we thought we’d keep them.

-Eyes in the back of the head help a lot.  I think you can find out how on the Internet…

-It becomes a constant habit in stores and such to take a head count every couple of minutes.  “Attention WalMart customers we have a Code Adam.”

And…

-We haven’t found a place to sell them, yet.  Got any contacts in the black market?

Obviously we love them.  They are cute, fun, energetic, imaginative, and they do the housework so well (or at least they are getting there).

How about yours?
